Regulatory Research & Communication Consultant
Zach Pollock brings vast experience in advocacy, lobbying and grassroots efforts having worked in the Missouri State Capitol for the past 22 sessions.
Before partnering with Pioneer and forming a private consulting firm, Pollock Consulting LLC, Zack served as director of government relations for the Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives for nine years. While there he facilitated many legislative and budgetary successes. Prior to advocating for co-ops, he served in numerous capacities for Governor Jay Nixon’s administration, including (but not limited to) the director of legislative affairs for the departments of agriculture and mental health. He was also policy director for the Missouri Office of Administration, serving as legislative advisor, director of project manager oversight for the information technology services division, IT director for the departments of economic development and labor, and special assistant for Governor Nixon’s MOBroadbandNow office.
He worked with electric cooperatives extensively under Nixon, serving as telecommunications and utilities contact for his administration, while also serving as director of rural outreach. Through these experiences, he has become an expert in broadband, utilities, telecommunications and agriculture, all of which he plans to use in his work with Utility Pioneers and through his firm, Pollock Consulting LLC. He also served as Legislative Director for the American Federation of State County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) Council 72 for seven years, working not only with the state and federal authorities but also with local elected officials. Zach’s vast experience allows him to help clients navigate the legislative, agency and local jurisdictions at local and state levels of government to achieve their objectives.Read about our Partnership
