Meet NRECA’s New Efficiency Columnist: Miranda Boutelle!

Posted on Nov 16, 2021

Let’s play Jeopardy.

Category: ENERGY EFFICIENCY.
Name the budding expert who once helped a struggling grandma save enough money to buy her grandkids Christmas presents.

<Buzzer sounds.>

Answer: Who is Miranda Boutelle?

Miranda Boutelle

As another Christmas beckons, we are proud to shine a light on our very own Miranda, helper of grandmas and the new voice of energy efficiency for electric co-ops across the country.

Miranda, whose smile and energy light up the offices of Pioneer Utility Resources, is director of operations and customer engagement at Efficiency Services Group, a subsidiary of Pioneer.

Her expertise will be on full display in January, when her Straight Talk energy efficiency column, a content benefit of National Rural Electric Cooperative Association membership, debuts in electric cooperative magazines across the nation. Miranda replaces longtime columnist Pat Keegan. Miranda will bring her own unique perspective, passion and years of practical experience to help others.

The story of how Miranda got hooked on energy efficiency (clue: this could involve helping a certain grandma solve a big home heating problem) will be featured as part of her first column, offering practical guidance for cutting home energy bills.

If you are looking to give your readers the gift of savings and efficiency — and, of course, you are — don’t miss Miranda’s monthly columns in 2022.
