Now, this Northwest-born, not-for-profit cooperative and its four wholly owned subsidiaries provide a range of marcom services including magazine production, website development, social media, content marketing, energy industry reporting, energy efficiency program management, and direct installation of energy efficiency products.

We’re looking for an eager magazine/postal logistics assistant with top-notch skills in organization and time management. The position will involve utilizing efficient processes for carrying out publications scheduling and fulfillment tasks. This effort is expected to require approximately 40 hours per week, so if you’re looking for something full time, this position may be for you!

A. To provide administrative support to the mailing department.

B. To ensure publications deadlines are met.

C. To organize department paperwork, utility mailing labels, and USPS-related documents.



A. Creates and sends address returns to utilities.

B. Assists editorial team with Reader Exchange and Marketplace.

C. Maintains and distributes production calendars.

D. Compiles insertion orders, takes classified orders, and tracks advertising.

E. Reviews bills from printers for accuracy.

F. Provides support for monthly paperwork setup and internal mailing lists.

G. Distributes sample content digitally to third parties.

H. Ships out publication copies to clients and others as needed

G. Once trained, collects and processes mailing labels from utilities for printers.

H. Other duties as requested.



A. Internal

  • Reports to: Production Manager
  • Directs: none
  • Supports: Production Manager, Publications Coordinator, Chief Finance & Administrative Officer, Editorial Director of Electric Magazines
  • Other: works with all managers and employees

B. External

  • Customers: May interact with customers while gathering mailing labels, sending address returns, and accepting advertising orders
  • Partners: Will collaborate with advertising agencies and mailing partners, including processors and printers.
  • Others: As needed.


A. Education and Training

  • Bachelor’s degree. Experience may be substituted for higher education.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of computer programs, including the Microsoft and Google productivity suites. Data entry accuracy with typing speed above 50 wpm strongly preferred. Moderate to advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and prioritization of work.
  • Experience with, BCC Mail Manager (or similar mailing data software), QuickBase and/or Microsoft Access preferred.
  • Experience with processing and optimizing mailing lists preferred

B. Previous Experience: two years in a similar position that demonstrates the skills listed above.


  • Pay $16.00 – $17.50 DOE. Benefits include medical and a strong 401k match among others, forming a leading-edge total compensation package.
