Deck the Halls with Holiday Cards

Posted on Oct 3, 2018

It’s not too early to start spreading tidings of comfort and joy. A holiday card is the perfect way to share how much you appreciate those you work with in your community, near or far, so get your mailing list and check it twice!

“Sending holiday cards to vendors and other cooperatives is important to our utility because it is a great way to stay in touch with them and strengthen our relationships,” says Sabrina Owens, manager of marketing and communications at Escambia River Electric Cooperative, Florida. “We may go months, or longer at times, without working together, but always remembering each other at Christmas helps keep our friendship strong.”

For the past three years, Escambia River has partnered with Ruralite Services to create and send out their festive cards. Using a custom photo of Lineman David Deese dressed up as Santa, Escambia’s message is clear: They are here to spread some cheer.

“The photos we use in the magazine and other printed materials tend to be all business and work,” says Owens. “We wanted a fun Christmas card that showed a little personality of one of our linemen.”

Ruralite Services offers several options to celebrate the spirit of the season, including premade designs and custom messages. Use a custom photo of your staff, a wintery local landscape or silly seasonal shot to delight your members or colleagues. Special discounts make custom options affordable.

“It’s always a joyful way to celebrate friendships and the special holiday,” says Owens.
