Last week mail delivery made headlines again. As Winnie the Pooh might say, “Oh, bother.”
Starting this month, some mail will now take a few days longer to arrive as the postal service adopts less robust standards. While this is good for the general public to know when mailing holiday and birthday cards, utility communicators should take note, too.
Your publishing team at Pioneer, helpers on any blustery day, are ready to help you navigate the ongoing postal changes and manage rising mail costs. Learn more about how the changes might impact you on our blog.
Utilities across the nation are using National Voter Registration Day as an opportunity to empower consumers to exercise their right to vote. We share five tips for creating and sharing National Voter Registration Day social media content on our best practices blog!

We know utility communicators are in a hurry, wearing a lot of hats and always need good fresh, branded content. It’s with those things in mind that we are excited to roll out our newest service: Pioneer Studio.
After four years away, we’re thrilled to welcome Victoria Hampton back to Pioneer as an associate editor for utilities in Alaska, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, California and Arizona.
Her expanded skill set in digital communications and public relations complement her history of solid storytelling inside Ruralite magazine. Victoria will focus on helping utility communicators manage local page content and writing energy-efficiency stories.
On our blog, Victoria shares how her experience in animal welfare communications sharpened her storytelling skills.
